Endpoint Protection Small Business Edition

A few months ago our server running SEPM crashed. We built up the server again, but something went wrong with the installation of Symantec Endpoint Protection Center (Small Business). We were no longer able to produce reports. After some discussion (https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/reports-symantec-protection-center-show-no-results) I decided to reinstall Symantec since Repair didn't help. AravindKM advised me to use HijackThis because I wasn't able to remove SEP with add/remove programs. But even HijackThis couldn't remove SEPM. I tried the manual removal that AravindKM pointed me to (including removing program files and registry entries) but SEP is still present in the Add/Remove programs-list in Windows. And trying to remove still gives me an error message. Can anyone help me with the removal and reinstall of SEPM? Any suggestions of options to try?

Your best bet is to call support and have them send you Cleanwipe. Only support can provide this tool.

This should completely remove all traces of SEP and allow you to then re-install.

Try Microsoft uninstall utility to remove sep from the machine do not try clean wipe on server .

Best practise would be manual removal of Sep from this machine

I agree with Brian - use CleanWipe. But be careful with it if you have any other Symanetec application installed as it may damage it.

what happens when you try to install SEPM? does it rollback or give error message ?
