I have a good portion of our building on older hardware (Turner Classic 1300MHz), and when I deploy a sysprep & DeployAnywhere image to the PC (the image was created in VMWare) the process gets stuck at "Configuring Computer"



If I go to the PC and take a look at what is going on, it shows me that an error has occured.



The error is on the Sysprep window where it has text boxes for Computer Name and Administrator Password.



the error it gives is that the computer name is not valid, and requests that you change it.



The Computer name it is defaulting to is "New Computer" so the space in the name is causing the exception.



My question is, why is it naming it "New Computer" during the configuration process? is this because sysprep first sets the PC name to some random name (usually the MAC or the Dell Service Code) and then later in the process Aclient changes the name based on what is in the Deployment Console?



Is there any way to fix this so that it is not defaulting to "New Computer" and instead "NewComputer"?
