I am not able to find any useful information from this log.Restart the server once and try.If not helps check any application is running on 2638 port(You can use netstat -a command in command promnt for finding this). If noting is running in this port repair SEPM from add/remove programs.(If you click on change you will get option for this)

Did you have a power outage or some other kind of power failure around the time this first occurred?  Look in the application event log for references to 'assertion failure'.  If you see this, then the database is corrupted.  It is likely that an uninstall and reinstall of the SEPM is probably in order.

    Check this article

Title: 'Error " Failed to start embedded database port 2638" when installing Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM)'
    Web URL: http://service1.symantec.com/support/ent-security....

Also did you installed any other aplication?

    1. Based on the logs you attached

Check if there is a temp folder under tomcat folder

    C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\tomcat\temp\

If not then create one and then try starting the service of Symantec embedded database and SEPM.

    2. However whenever you have issue starting the Symantec embedded database service

Go to C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\db folder and look for err.log

Send me this log and will tell you the exact reason why this is happening and also post the solution.

    3. Another thing please mention what happened with the server when the issue occurred.

I mean a unexpected server reboot : that corrupts the database transaction log

Low disk space issue on the drive.

Looking forward to resolve this issue.
