Unable to Uninstall SEP

Created: 06 Feb 2014 | 9 comments

Hi There,

I am unable to uninstall SEP on some Windows machines (server 2008 R2 and Windows 7).

When I attempt to uninstall from Programs and Features I get the below error message.

SEP1.PNG

Now the Sep64.msi does actaully exist in the location where the uninstaller thinks it is but I think the problem is that the version installed on the computer is 12.1.1000.157 and version on the network share is 12.1.1101.401.

I can't find the media for the older version so how do I uninstall it?

I would suggest using cleanwipe. You can contact support to get it.

You can also manually uninstall. See these articles:

I'm not sure I can get CleanWipe as our support ran out on Jan 31.

There is no way I go round 50-odd machines and carrying out all those steps in the manual uninstall. Is there any way to get the previous version?

Check your PM. Let me know if you have questions. If your support is up, you won't be able to get the previous release.
