The latest SEP version does not support it. A thread has been started here with a response from a Symantec employee:

    https://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/does-sep-1216mp5-work-windows-10-anniversary-edition#comment-11659791

    In summation:

"To add some clarity here though, we expect that installations of SEP running 12.1 RU6 MP4 or earlier will be blocked by Windows. Installations of 12.1 RU6 MP5 should not be blocked and the upgrade of Windows 10 to Windows 10 Anniversary Update is expected to proceed.

If you're running into an issue where you're running 12.1 RU6 MP5 and you're still seeing an incompatibiltiy message during the OS migration, please reach out to Symantec Technical Support for further investigation."

    Hi,

Thank you for posting your query on Symantec community. I would be glad to answer your query.

Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU6 MP5 provides basic compatibility for Windows 10 Anniversary Update / Windows 10 Feature Update 1607.

Full support is planned for the next major release of Symantec Endpoint Protection.

    Pre-requisites:

Upgrading to Windows 10 Anniversary Update with Endpoint Protection installed:

You can only upgrade to Windows 10 Anniversary Update with Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU6 MP5 installed. You must uninstall or upgrade earlier versions of Symantec Endpoint Protection prior to the Operating System upgrade. The Operating System upgrade will stop if it detects an earlier version of Symantec Endpoint Protection.

Note: An upgrade from an earlier version of Symantec Endpoint Protection to 12.1 RU6 MP5 is only completed once a restart of the machine has been performed. Until that restart has occurred, an incompatibiltiy message may be displayed by the Operating System and the upgrade will be blocked.

What's your SEP version? Client versions does not auto update & there are couple of reasons behind it.

In enterprise edition we do recommend to test the client version prior to roll out across the network so either it should be done by management console or by third party tools or by manually.

You need any assistance to download latest SEP Version 12.1.6 (12.1 RU6 MP5) build 7004 (12.1.7004.6500)?

    Hi,

    You are using 12.1 RU6 (12.1.6168.6000) version & SEP 12.1 RU6 MP5 (12.1.7004.6500) is the latest version.

I have outlined all the release version details here: https://www.symantec.com/connect/blogs/symantec-endpoint-protection-release-details

If it's unmanaged client download latest software from Fileconnect.symantec.com , you need product serial number to download SEP which generally starts with 'M'.

This guide will help to download windows version: https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.INFO2576.html

You need to go out to flexnet and download 12.1.6 MP5. You can get it here using your serial:

    https://symantec.flexnetoperations.com

If you do not have a serial then you need to contact your administrator so you can get a copy of the download.

In the following: What do you mean by "basic compatibility"?  Is Microsoft Hypervisor Code Integrity the only feature not supported, and will all other Endpoint Protections, Virus and Spyware, Protective Threat, and Network Threat continue to work as expected?

Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU6 MP5 provides basic compatibility for Windows 10 Anniversary Update / Windows 10 Feature Update 1607.

Full support is planned for the next major release of Symantec Endpoint Protection.

You can only upgrade to upgrade Windows 10 anniversary with the program installed Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU6 MP5. You must be removed to install or upgrade previous versions of Symantec Endpoint Protection software before upgrading the operating 300-101 Exam system. The operating system update will stop if it detects an earlier version of Symantec Endpoint Protection program.

Everything is functional on the SEP client, as long as you don't install/enable HVCI or Device Guard.

The reason the document mentions compatibility is because we can't claim full support with everything that Windows 10 Anniversary Update has to offer. The remaining two pieces blocking that statement will be addressed in our next major release, as indicated in the article on this topic.

    Hope that helps!
