Deployment Solution

A bunch of our users have stated that they have been getting prompts 3-4 times a day to update LSC.exe and they should not have the Lenovo Solution Center on there computer in the first place. I wrote a job and uninstalls the program but after it uninstalls, a survey site launches in the browswer. 

 

I wrote this as my command line MsiExec.exe /X{D60E3A84-5DDC-49ED-B9A5-E3466996EB36} /qn but I don't know what to add to not prompt for the website. 

 

Any help will be great.

uh...  Might want to ask Lenovo?  Or you could try to capture the launch and kill it...  That's not something generally in the perview of this application.

Yeah its not and I called Lenovo and they were no help. They wanted to charge me since there was not serious issue. I think I am just going to have a prompt that tells users that the website is going to launch and to exit.

Open the msi in a msi editor, find the survey action, and the add the disable command to the uninstall syntax to see if that helps. Probably too much work for a few machines though.
