    Hello there.

I'm a part time student and my school requires me to configure my laptop so I could access my lessons through the school website as it's only accessable if we configured it through the school it guys.

So well, the it guys installed synmatec endpoint protection and I can't seem to be able to uninstall it due to the password they've set.

Hope someone could help me with the solution. I appreciate it a lot.

    Sincerely,

    Khai.

Do you really want to uninstall and leave your machine vulnerable? Have you contacted them?

hi, You need to contact SEPM administrator and ask the SEP uninstall password. You can try to enter password "symantec" Or You can try this HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\AV\AdministratorOnly\Security\UseVPUninstallPassword Set to 0 to disable https://www-secure.symantec.com /connect/blogs/remove- smc-password-without-applying- policy-server

I recommend you not to uninstall it and to intouch with your IT engineer for the password to stop the service for your work and when ever your work complete start the service again

    command to stop it

    smc -stop

    comand to start it

    smc -start
