Hi,

I have the problem mentioned on random machines.. not all, but about 25% of the machines where I need to uninstall SEP. This means that the machines can't connect to the corporate network afterwards. I havent found any solution to fix it. I have more or less tried everything related to drivers, patch level, uninstall methods etc.

The problem starts after the required reboot.

A workaround is to use a restore point or make an inplace upgrade to Windows 10.

The GPO with this authentification configuration is still processed, but for some reason not applied correctly anymore.

Any experiences with this problem? ideas? :-)

it could be becuase the teefer driver didn't uninstall properly.

Remove the Teefer driver (may not be present):

1. Click Start > Run.
2. Type regedit, and click OK.
3. Navigate to the following key:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network\{4D36E974-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
4. Find the keys that have a value of ComponentId that is set to symc_teefer2, and update the value of Characteristics to 40000.
5. Navigate to the following key:
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Network
6. Delete the value Config.
7. Exit the Windows Registry Editor.
8. Click Start > Settings > Control Panel > Network Connections.
9. Click a connection.
10.  In the dialog, click Properties.
11. Select Teefer Driver, and click Uninstall.
12. Repeat these steps for each Network Connection.
13. Restart the computer.

call support to get the latest cleanwipe tool, try to remove SEP from it. Just give it a try

Exact version of SEP is this happening with and is it only on Win10?

Have you tried removing the NIC driver and letting Windows re-discover/install it?

I have tried with cleanwipe (maybe not the newest version).

The SEP version is 12.1.6318.6100 and it's only on Win7 machines.. and does not seem related to specific HW.. One two identical HW models I only experienced the problem on one of those. Furthermore I have tried to fully patch the workstation before uninstallation.

I alredy tried to remove the NIC drivers and do a restart.. both tested with SEP and without.. same result :-(

The other thing you could do is try with the latest version of SEP 12.1, 12.1.6 MP3. You're a couple versions behind. Otherwise may need to get a support case open.

I tried with the newest version of CleanWipe.. It actually solved the problem :-) Yeahh! Thans a lot
