    Hello,

    We have some 40 servers running with symantec cSP and need to unistall CSP and install SEP client through SEPM.

    Can this be done at a single shot , unistall CSP and install SEP.

    Do we reqire a reboot ?

    If no option to uninstall from SEPM , wat are the other ways to do it.

    There is no way to Uninstall CSP agent through SEP client.

    How to uninstall the Symantec Critical System Protection (SCSP) agent?

    Both are different products and cannot be uninstalled using SEP

    CSP needs to be uninstalled manually. Once done, you can push the SEP client out to them.

    You can try to uninstall by script

    Silent removal
    The following command removes the agent:
    msiexec.exe /X{3D24482F-98BD-48DD-AA62-8B24BFDE7329} /qn REMOVE=ALL /Lv*+! C:\SISAgentSetup.log

    3D24482F-98BD-48DD-AA62-8B24BFDE7329 -> Different every version you can find under registry key.

    Command line syntax for silent installation, upgrade and removal of Symantec Critical System Protection 4.5

    Uninstallation of CSP agent requires a restart.. Try to use the competitive uninstall of SEP (Seprep) then include the uninstallation string of csp agent example below..

    [Settings]
    ShowGUI=N
    ShowMessageBox=N
    MessageBoxText=Prepairing your system for Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0.  During this process other antivirus products will be removed.\n\nIf you are prompted please fully remove these products.
    AutoRunAfterUILoads=N
    AskBeforeRemoval=Y
    SilentMSIInstaller=Y
    RemoveSymantec=Y
    CheckDiskSpace=Y
    ResumeAfterReboot=Y
    EnableLogging=Y
    LogPath=
    RunBeforeRemoval="Uninstallation_String_of_CSP_agent"
    RunAfterRemoval="your_SEP_installer_package_setup" (Sepsetup.exe)

    [UninstallPaths]
    SOFTWARE\McAfee\ePolicy Orchestrator\Application Plugins

    [ProductNames]
    ;Programs that must be removed first

    McAfee Anti-Spyware
    Symantec Crtical System Protection <<<<<<< Add this product name of CSP for the                                                                                                        RemoveSymantec=Y option above...

    u have to manually uninstall the CSP and then you can manually install the agent or push the client from SEPM console.

    Once it installed it require Reboot.

    you can also use the Competitive product uninstall tool but if any thing happens wrong Symantec will not take any responsibility for it.
