  • 1.  Uninstalling Symantec Endpoint Protection

    I am trying to uninstall symantec but each time I go to remove it from my computer it tells me that it is not installed but there is a constant box the pops up and stays up on my computer desktop saying it is installing I really want it gone and am getting frusterated can someone tell me how to fix this problem.

    If the above does not help
    download the windows cleanup utility from
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301
    install it
    remove the corrupted symante endpoint
    reboot
    install symantec again should be fine.

    You can also try a manual uninstallation of SEP.

    You can use cleanwipe (this you can get it from symantec support) for uninstalling the old client.
    Then you can install SEP once again...
