    Hello,

In your case, you could Uninstall by performing the steps provided below:

    1) Restart the machine, Uninstall Liveupdate and then the SEP client from the Add / Remove Programs.

    2) Run the Latest version of Cleanwipe v_12.1

    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/how-get-cleanwipe-tool-endpoint-removal

    3) Manual uninstallation Steps as Highlighted by Pete above.

    Hope that helps!!

    Hi Pilikasp,

What was the upgrade path to SEP 12.1.1000.157 ?

May be caused by a broken installation of the legacy version you are trying to migrate.

    Possible Solution:

    1. Go to Add or Remove Programs and remove the previous version, then reboot and try installation again.
    2. If that fails, run the Cleanwipe Utility; The Cleanwipe Utility can be obtained from Symantec Enterprise Support. Reboot then try installation again
    3. If installation still fails, run Windows Cleanup Utility and remove references to the previous version; as a precaution, have a backup of the OS before using utility. The Windows Cleanup Utility (msicuu2.exe) can be obtained via Microsoft's website.
    4. If installation still fails, follow the manual removal process.
