hello everyone,
i had opened such discussion about week ago.
https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/unknown-files
it was about files (msl-5276-4, msl-5276-5 and etc. each about 300-400 mb) which were gererated after scanning.
i tried to delete it with undelete software - nothing.
then i tried to delete it from offline mode - also nothing.
i attached a screenshot. i think that, this files are locked by Symantec Enterprise Vault.
my question is: how to delete these damn files?

no updates?
I found the following in our KB regarding the directory in which these files are being found. It is SAV, but this may also apply to your situation.
Title: 'Files are left in the i2_ldvp.tmp folder after scanning'
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-security....
Have you tried removing these files while booted into Safe Mode?

hello sandra,
i booted from hirens boot cd, and tried to delete those files from this directory. unfortunately i could not.
in this article there is written that these files should removed after scanning, but somehow these files were not deleted even generated new ones.
also these files are locked somehow. i tried several file unlocker applications but nothing yet :(
Try by using recovery CD from symantec. You can download this from file connect....

I think Aravind means the Symantec Endpoint Recovery Tool, which allows you to create a boot CD.
