Having just run the 8.0 SP1 deployment scanner prior to an upgrade from 8.0, I have encountered the following error:-

Information: no mixed collations found in Enterprise Vault SQL databases.

VMEVSVC\SQLEXPRESS: Database: EnterpriseVaultAudit - no mixed collations found.
VMEVSVC\SQLEXPRESS: Database: EnterpriseVaultDirectory - no mixed collations found.
VMEVSVC\SQLEXPRESS: Database: EnterpriseVaultMonitoring - no mixed collations found.
VMEVSVC\SQLEXPRESS: Unmatched default SQL collation: Server: Latin1_General_CI_AS; EVVSGVaultStoreGroup1_2_2 database: .
VMEVSVC\SQLEXPRESS: Database: EVVSGVaultStoreGroup1_2_2 - no mixed collations found.
VMEVSVC\SQLEXPRESS: Database: EVVSVaultStore1_1 - no mixed collations found.
VMEVSVC\SQLEXPRESS : Fingerprint Database: EVVSGVaultStoreGroup1_2_2 - no mixed collations found.

I've checked the Knowledge Base and while there are similar errors in
http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/307838.htm, they don't seem quite the same.

Can anyone suggest what needs doing in this situation?  Using SQL 2005 Express locally to the EV server.

I checked the SQL Collation type for that database and it does match the Server default of 'Latin1_General_CI_AS'

Thanks

Mark

You say you are running SQL 2005 Express.

Did you know that SQL 2005 Express is not certified for EV 8?

Can you run the query from this technote?

http://seer.entsupport.symantec.com/docs/293475.htm

SELECT DATABASEPROPERTYEX(DB_name(), 'Collation') collation;
