Unscannable files in c:/RECYCLERS/
Created: 10 Jan 2013 | 8 comments
We have a computer with some issues, and everything seems to stem from the RECYCLERS file, 1406 unscannable docs. How do I change that setting so they are all scanned?
Thanks!

Hello,
The errors do not indicate a malfunction in the product. The decomposer errors cannot be eliminated from system logs; they may be useful in alerting a customer to corrupt archives or deeply-compressed files that should be excluded from scans.
For other causes and solutions, see the related article:
Symantec AntiVirus Error: "Could not scan [#] files inside [path][filename] due to extraction errors encountered by the Decomposer Engines" during a scan
Also, check the steps provided in the Thread below:

Hope that helps!!

Thank you all very much. Next question - what do you know about "My web tatoo", how do I get rid of it?

Hello,
Please check in the Add/ Remove programs for certain suspicious programs which should not be there. If there are any, please uninstall it.
I would suggest you to scan your machine with the Symantec Support Tool and Submit the Suspicious files to the Symantec Security Response Team by following the steps provided in the Article below:
Using Symantec Support Tool, how do we Collect the Suspicious Files and Submit the same to Symantec Security Response Team.
Hope that helps!!
