I've been getting a lot of suspicious activity with Symantec Endpoint that makes me think it's somehow being compromised. Sometimes when I'm on the computer, the program will just randomly become disabled and then enabled again.

I decided to run a scan and during the scan, saw something odd in the field indicating which files were being scanned. I'll admit I'm not an expert at computers but it's pretty obvious something fishy is going on (see attached)

Is something indeed awry? Has anyone experienced a similar situation?

    Thank you so much.

    What about your other computers?
do they also have the same results?
Do you already use MR4 MP1a or the new MR4 MP2?
Had you already called tech support about his?
hope to hear more about this.
    thanks.

I have sene this, if we run active scan, before it ends this is displayed.

the settings are displayed, like operation is scan, scan for depth - 10 level zip/archived files etc..

However you should be checking the service automatcically stops and restart, may be definition update is successfull and hence the service restart. You may need to look into application event logs for the reason.

    Cheers
    Pete!

This is normal. Nothing wrong or awry here.
