    If a workstation encounters a new GPO (Assigned Software Application) and the existing version is the same. Does the software get re-installed or does the workstation perform some other configuration?

    In my example, I have many clients nationwide that already have Symantec Antivirus Corporate Edition Version 10.1.6.6010 installed via another method.  However, when such a workstation encounters the AD managed Symantec AV GPO, the workstation takes 5 minutes before presenting a login prompt. Is there a way to reduce this time?

    My goal is to install SAVCE to those workstations that do not have it; yet not delay the logon process for all of the others that have the correct version.
