  • 1.  Update to MS Office creates new "Installed product"

    Hi

     

    I've made our own "Installed Product" package for MS Office, Visio and Project.

    In this example I use Visio 2010.

     

    As you can see I chose ver. 14 ( no buildnumber after) and should be able to see every version 14.xxx in my system.

    But when the new build arrived, it created a secondary package. Therefore I need to edit my current package and "Inculde Components Associated with other products"

    why is that ?

    Hi,

    Currently only one Software can be assigned for one Sotware Product. 

    After you imported the new package for Visio, new product was also created.

    There is a built in Software Product for Microsoft Visio AFAIK. So it looks like the new Software Resource has associated with the built in Software Product not the Software Product you have created.
