    Hello,

is it possible to update a non-managed Client with an internal Live Update Administrator Server? Is there a chance to use a modified sylink.xml to configure the LU Server for the SEP Client?

    Thanks in advance

Do you mean to say that you'll be setting up an internal LiveUpdate server and have all the unmanaged clients connect to that?

Sylink.xml works for once you've greated a group with policies that you prefer.

You need to modify the host file for unmanged cients.
For unmanged clients you can tell them to get it from Live update Administrator..

You need to make a host file for them..

To generate a host file, on the Configure tab, click Client Settings, and then

select the Distribution Center that you want your LiveUpdate clients to use.

Click Export Window Settings to export the Settings.Host.LiveUpdate file, or

click Export Java Settings to create the Java LiveUpdate client file.

You then copy the file to the \Program Files\Symantec\LiveUpdate directory

on the LiveUpdate client computers. When the LiveUpdate client runs, it will

use the host file for information on where to download updates.

For information on how to perform management tasks, see the
