During our computer deployments I would like to update the SEP 12.1 (RU1 MP1) client with the latest definitions as soon as the image is layed down offline (i.e. before the first boot, from within WinPE).  I know how to acquire the latest definitions from the SEPM, but what I don't know how to do is update the definitions on a computer with SEP already installed.

Any adivce, or pointing me to articiles or other similiar forum discussions would be greatly appreciated.

Is it possible to get the SEPM to download the JDB files?  I am looking for an automated process.

You would need to script it and set a scheduled task.

Or as said above you can install the latest definitions offline by downloading the IU and executing it on the client manually afer an install. the definitions are available in the below link.
