There is no different package for XP 32 bit & Win 7 32 bit.

SEP 11 RU 5 & above works with Win 7.

    Hello,

The Symantec Endpoint Protection Installation packages are not seperate for Windows XP and Windows 7 machines.

However, make sure that you carry the Latest version of SEP on your machines, so that they are supported for your Operating System.

    Hi,

Package means setup / installation package or definition update?

I am asking about the definition update not the setup package.

    Hello,

    Thank you for clearing that.

Yes, the definitions are different for 32 bit and 64 bit and different for each Symantec product and features.

However, these definitions are same for Windows 7 as well as Windows XP machine.

    Hope that helps!!!

Can you tell me what will be the update size which is downloaded by a gup on daily basis (Considering the GUP is up to date) ? And what will be the update size if a client is downloading the update directly from SEP?

    Hello,

    Check this Thread:

    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/endpoint-protection-11-definition-update-size

    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/forums/enquiry-updates-size-sep

Again, you can also check "Content Distribution" details in this Article below:

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH102211

    http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH95353

Also, you can Use a Tool "SEP Content Distribution Monitor" to watch over the Distribution across the network for the same. Among other useful things it shows the daily number of the full and delta downloads, together with their bandwidth consumption. You get it here:

    https://www-secure.symantec.com/connect/downloads/sep-content-distribution-monitor

    Hope that helps!!
