Problem:
When I go to PGP encrypted items etc. Which I would like to keep private on my computer, others use this computer even at home. I used to have to use a pass word. Now it opens and  DECRYPTS automatically. Is this something new or did import the key to PGP desktop to now do automatically?  If the latter, how do change this. I want to have to use the password. This protects encrypted files only for me. As I noted above, as it now stands, simply "clicking" on the encrypted file automatically opens it.

Resolution:
You are apparently caching your passphrase for a log period of time.  You can change this via the PGP Options General tab.  You can also clear your passphrase anytime you want via PGPtray.
