what bases are so rarely issued to the update was last yesterday it passed as many as over 30 hours and it isn't for the first time that this way is happening

other programs at that time were already repeatedly updated

Not quite sure I understand you correctly. If it is about how often Symantec release updates for SEPM, it is 3 times a day, except weekends (1 or 2 releases). It can't be 30H without downloading new definitions. Check the LiveUpdate log and see if there was an error or there was no updates available.

    Hi Coyote,

You are correct: there was one set of defintiions released on the 4th.

Details on each of September's Multiple Daily Definition releases for SEP can be found here:

    http://www.symantec.com/business/security_response/definitions/multipledaily/detail.jsp?mdid=2011-09

That included the definitions version, new detection added, etc.  Each of the certified releases made in a day are listed there.

Generally 2-3 certfifed definition sets are rleased each day, but on occassion there will be only one.

    Hope this helps!

    Thanks and best regards,

    Mick

Typically there is 1 update per day on the weekend. If you are not updating, you need to check your SEPM logs for errors.

Again, yes there should be updates so it may be a problem with your SEPM.

As Brian said, you can check the SEPM definition update logs.... can always compare it with the current Definition version at official Symantec website..

on weekdays typically there would 3 certified updates... on weekends i'm nt sure...
