  • 1.  Updating Internal LUA with no Internet access from an external LUA Server

    Posted Jun 09, 2014 08:31 AM

I have read the following two references:
    http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH106254

    http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=content&id=TECH105741

The environment variables are as below:
    1. Internal Server - IP1
    2. External Server - IP2

In internal server, I set the source server pointing to "http:IP2:7070/clu-prod" for update content.
However, in the event log, it shows "No update found xxxx..." in every scheduled download process. As in the external server, content was successfully downloaded and distributed to the "clu-prod" directory.

Could I ask how to deal with this situation?

    Please kindly help on this.

    Thanks.

Is Your IP1 has to go through a proxy to reach IP2, have you set that?

open a browser and try the clu-prod on IP1 , do u see contents of IP2?

As the docs suggest, ithe whole daiy-chianing is not recommended.

Also, as communications appear to be allowed between IP1 and IP2, are you in a position to make IP1 a Distribution Centre for IP2 instead, and just have IP2 push content through to IP1?

This sounds very similar to the below thread where I put forward the same suggestion:
