UPDATING FROM Local Folder

Hi all

          I am using symantec 11.0.4014.26  i dont have internet on my company so how do i setup update form a folder so that i can download from internet  and copy to folder and management console should get update from this folder.

Please help me in this issue.

you need to copy jdb file

you need to copy jdb file from location where internet is accessible and then place the jdn file to update the SEPM.

Note this will only update only AntiVirus definition.

SEPM & Updates

For SEP ddownload to clients, on one machine you can download the AV/AS definitions from the following website.

http://www.symantec.com/business/security_response...

It would be the first executabl file which has the format of yyyy/mm/dd. Downlaod it to a centralized location and the clients wwould taake the updates from that location. However please ddo remeember its only AV/AS definitions.

For updating the SEPM you will have to download the jdb file and install it on the SEPM.
