I'm running Symantec Endpoint Protection SMB 12.1 on a network that is completely cut off from the Internet. The SEPM is installed on a server running Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, and SEP clients are installed on that server, virtual servers running Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 and desktops running Windows 7 SP1. I've figured out how to update the SEPM using the .jdb file, which is keeping the clients up to date on virus definitions, but how can I update Proactive and Network Threat Protection for the SEPM? I know from reading the forums that the usual recommendation is to install LiveUpdate Administrator on a machine with Internet access and have the SEPM pull from that LUA, but that isn't possible in this case, because there are absolutely no computers on this network with Internet access, and the SEPM will never have a connection to a computer with Internet access. Is there a way to set up an LUA on an Internet-connected machine, and then sneaker-net something like a .jdb file over to the offline SEPM? I'm grasping at straws here, and I suspect that it's simply not possible (yet), but I'd love to be wrong.
Thanks for any help!
