Updating Proactive and Network Threat Protection for offline SEPM?
I'm running Symantec Endpoint Protection SMB 12.1 on a network that is completely cut off from the Internet. The SEPM is installed on a server running Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, and SEP clients are installed on that server, virtual servers running Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1 and desktops running Windows 7 SP1. I've figured out how to update the SEPM using the .jdb file, which is keeping the clients up to date on virus definitions, but how can I update Proactive and Network Threat Protection for the SEPM? I know from reading the forums that the usual recommendation is to install LiveUpdate Administrator on a machine with Internet access and have the SEPM pull from that LUA, but that isn't possible in this case, because there are absolutely no computers on this network with Internet access, and the SEPM will never have a connection to a computer with Internet access. Is there a way to set up an LUA on an Internet-connected machine, and then sneaker-net something like a .jdb file over to the offline SEPM? I'm grasping at straws here, and I suspect that it's simply not possible (yet), but I'd love to be wrong.
Thanks for any help!

Hi Kennis,
unfortunately, I don't know if it is possible on SEP 12.1 SBE to change the LiveUpdate content source (I have only experience with the Enterprise Edition). If yes, it's possible. You have to download the content with a LUA and then copy it manually to a distribution center in the isolated network (internal web server, share etc.).
Follow these instructions:
How to distribute definition content from a LiveUpdate Administrator 2.x (LUA 2.x) server to an isolated network

It is not possible if you using Small Business Edition of SEP

Hi,
In your prescribed scenario as of now it's not possible to update PTP & NPT with the help of JDB file, internet connectivity is must.
Idea is being raised for the same & it's under review. I would request you here to vote the same.
