We are using a script to run as a task as part of the deployment Job to copy and inject our drivers to our workstations builds.  We have been following the steps out lined in this article. (http://www.symantec.com/connect/articles/how-securely-map-drive-winpe-deployment-server-71)

However now we are noticing that when we changed our NS password, and recreate our boot environments it's not updating the PWL file on the site servers.  Therefore when the script  of injecting the drivers job  is run,  it's prompting us for credentials.

Does anyone know how we can update the pwl on the site server?

    Hi,

Which version of DS 7 are you using?

I am using 7.6 and on my NS i have placed the pwl file here:

    \\localhost\NSCap\bin\Deployment\BDC\bootwiz\oem\DS\winpe\x64\Base

From there it replicates to the site server. So in my case I can find the same file on the site server under the following path:

    %program files%\Altiris\Altiris Agent\Package Delivery\{374E1C49-4F58-4F5C-8D51-07A30F0D44AD}\cache\bootwiz\oem\DS\winpe\x64\Base

There you see the file with the same time stamp as on the ns server than you know it has been replaced. The package itself in the package server is called BDC. Check if it has been changed recently.

If the file has the correct time stamp then I assume the "recreate" job has not run on the site server.

You can try in that case to run through this article. This explains how to run the bootwiz task on a single site server. https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.HOWTO93837.html

If this does not help you might take a look at this article here https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH211409.html
