Updating SEP server from Server 2008 R2 to VM with Database on SQL VM
Created: 05 Nov 2012 | 2 comments
I currently have a Windows 2008 R2 standard server running the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager software with an embedded database. I want to move the SEPM to a WindowsServer Standard virtual machine and have the database housed on a SQL Windows Server Standard virtual machine. Any instructions or advice would help. Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Two things to be done,
1. Upgrade from embedded DB to SQL DB. You can refer the below articles for this,

2. Move the SEPM from one server to another server. Check this article,
