  • 1.  Before upgrade to 12.1, uninstall and fresh re-installation of 11.06

    Posted Feb 05, 2013 12:45 AM

    Hi,

I want to upgrade to 12.1, but having problem. I want to uninstall 11.06 and then do a fresh re-installation of 11.06. I just want to add the existing keystore and domain id for the client to connect again. I do not want to restore backup of the database. What settings can I save before the uninstall? Is there a best practice for above task? How can I save existing IIS settings? Any comments/ help most welcome.

Thanks everyone, I did fresh install, clients connected to the SEPM and are updating. You were right Pete I had to use same encryption key. Also domain id and keystore. Now by tomorrow I will update to 12.1, hopefully this time I will have no problem. Before I had a 36GB sem5.db, now I have a sem5.db which is less that 1 GB.

That depends on how many clients you have and what data you are storing.

when clients send logs, that DB will grow. Check this guide.
