You can go stright to 7.5.

Do NOT start the services at 7.5, but first install the 7.5.0.3 or .04 patch,as there is a bug at 7.5 that may affect you.

Look at SORT for NBU (link on here   https://sort.symantec.com )

and use the upgrade checklist feature and look at the 7.x upgrade portal

http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?pag...

Everything you could possible need is in these two areas.

All agents and options are included in 7.x software. No additional/special software or steps needed.

Hi Shakeel,

Few inputs from me

Copy all existing RMAN scripts while upgrading database - Media / Client systems b'coz at the time of upgradation all existing RMAN scripts will be overwrite with default sample scripts in default path.

Also make sure you will apply recent patch level ... i guess 7.5.0.3 is the letest.

If this post has helped you, please vote or mark as solution.

Before break-up, make sure you have a good backup.....  ;-)

Hi folks.
I also have an update task from 6.5 to 7.5 on Solaris Sparc.
I have questions about the item "image metadata migration."

What exact steps must be performed at this stage?

Thanks.
