Yes. see NBU 7.x Upgrade portal:  http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH74584

Extract:
Upgrade to NetBackup 7.6 can occur from all NetBackup 6.x and NetBackup 7.x versions.

Important that you understand the catalog changes that came about in NBU 7.5.

Please take your time and read through these docs:

NetBackup Release Notes
NetBackup 7.6 Upgrade Guide
NetBackup Installation Guide

Lots of changes too as far as OS, hardware and database compatibility is concerned.

For system requirements, documentation, and compatibility information, please use the Installation and Upgrade checklist found on the SORT website before any upgrade:

Hi,

Check if your system is even still supported on the Operating System compatibility list. Most cases the 6.5 installation is so old that its running on some OS or hardware that isn't supported any more. It then requires many hops and migrations to get you to a newly supported platform.

It might be worth it to just let that environment expire, and start fresh. But of course that depends on your organization.

You need an OpenVision to see the truth about Backups. Restores are a plus. But that's just Semantics ;)

ITs easy :)
