Ghost Solution Suite

Hi All

When I upgrade GSS 3.0 to 3.1 the install stops at 38% Unpacking Data files and never continue. I have tried https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH23733.html. Still the same - any ideas

You can try deleting all the temp files by navigating to %TEMP% and removing all files. Re-launch the installer and see if it will budge, if not please see the below article.

I had to restore a server due to this issue even after purging registry keys and temp files.

I suspect that some information is getting nested deep within the classes root part of the registry that is preventing the install from progressing. I had called Symantec support but their reccomendation after attempting to assist was to reformat the server and start over.

Please download the file from the below article and run this at the 38% stuck. Make sure to give each stage of installation a few minutes to complete on its own before forcing the install.
