Ghost Solution Suite

The GSS implementation guide says that updating from this version is possible.

For me the install gets nearly complete but then rolls back the install leaving NO Ghost installed at all.

Luckily I'm running it on VMWare ESX and made a snapshot just before installation.

I'm looking to find out what the upgrade path is and/or whether there are some install logs that would have an error message to point me in some direction.

Anyone else run into this?

You have to go to each version allong the way you can't skip one if you are doing the upgrades.   The database has to be upgraded from only the prior version with each upgrade.   Unless you have a huge database you would be better to do a fresh install if you are going to the latest versions of the GSS.

I was looking to do the incremental one-at-a-time upgrade but I couldn't find the earlier versions to download.

Where should I look for those?

if you didn't secure them when they came out they aren't availabe.   You can only secure the latest version from Symantec via the fileconnect.symantec.com web page.

How much data do you have in your database?

However much data about 50 machines would add up to.  Plus many tasks/images/etc.
