Can I just assigned a new Install Package with MR4MP2 to a group currently on MR3 to have them autoupgrade?
And if so, did anyone have any issues with this upgrade?

I know it has to be in the docs, but wanted to discover if anyone ran into any issues.
(My upgrades from MR4 went very smoothly)

Hi,

       You asked whether you can  just assign a new Install Package with MR4MP2 to a group currently on MR3 to have them autoupgrade?...The answer to this is yes.

However please refer to this screen shot as well.

Make sure that the SEPM is already on MR4MP2. Then you can assign the install package for the MR4MP2. The upgrde should be fine.

And nice tip,   I have been in the habit of deleting and then adding a new installation package for each group when applying new installs, the Upgrade Groups with Package is much easier.

One catch I found for this to work you have to have the install coming from your SEMPM console.  If you try useing an HTTP source for he upgrade it does not go unless the machine being upgraded is already at some build of MR4.
