Hi

Currently on SEP 11.0.776.942 and need to move to MR4. Have checked the management server and clients (help and about) and it does not mention our current version being an RTM version, which leads me to believe that I cannot simply do an overinstall, but would have to do a complete uninstall of the current version and then a clean new install and rollout of the MR4 version?

Could someone please let me know if these assumptions are correct and if I have to do all of the above rather than an overinstall?

11.0.776 is the "Release to Marketing" version.

For the SEPM you can plainly download and run the executable.

For the clients, You can upgrade them assigning a package to their groups.

Hi Sandeep,

Note that the software system had some issues with the client upgrade rollout to via the 'assign the package to groups' method prior to MR2 clients being deployed. I would recommend you do assign to group, but then watch to see which clients are not upgrading automatically. For those clients, you will have to directly install the MR4 (current version) using sneakernet, web downloads/e-mail, Altiris, etc.
