Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1.3_Part1_Installation_EN.exe : SEPM and SEP client as well

 Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1.3_SEPM_EN.exe : - only SEPM

this below should help

Hi All

thanks for kindly reply.

the main aim of the upgrade is that I can export new SEP installation package used for win8. And I want to keep the current SEP clients still use SEP 12.1.1 without any impact.

with my understandings,  I need download and unzip the file 'Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1.3_Part1_Installation_EN.exe' , after that navigate to unzipped folder and run 'Setup.exe' on the SEP Manager is ok ?

thanks

When you can upgrade the version from 21.1.1 to 12.1.3, only sepm 12.1.3 will exist on Server.

Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1.3_Part1_Installation_EN.exe and  Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1.3_SEPM_EN.exe , what's different with 2 files and which one is suitful for my situation ?

Ans - Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1.3_SEPM_EN.exe is a songle setup which can have only sepm installation/upgradation file.

Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1.3_Part1_Installation_EN.exe and

Symantec_Endpoint_Protection_12.1.3_Part2_Installation_EN.exe
included the sepm tools
