if you don't tick the option

if you don't tick the option Upgrade Schedule then they will start doing that straight away (well, there will be some delay but it's the fastest way).

Great, thanks for your reply.

Great, thanks for your reply. Wasn't quit sure what would happen if I didn't use the Upgrade Schedule.

I can see that the upgrade function has improved. I configured it yesterday afternoon and it has already begun the upgrades. With the MR1 version it was really slow but this works fine.

Got a question

where exactly is the upgrade option you're mentioning?  I'd like to selectively upgrade as well and want to keep it under control.
thanks, Jim

@Jim you can assign a package

@Jim
you can assign a package to the client group and when assigning you have upgrade schedule.
(Client -> Install Packages)

or you can assign package to multiple groups at a time with the same options
(Admin -> Install Packages -> Upgrade Groups with Package)

To Jim:

To Jim:

1. Open SEP Manager
2. Select Clients
3. Select the correct group
4. Select Install Packages
5. Right click the install package, in my case it's called "Symantec Endpoint Protection (version 11.0.4000.0) for WIN32BIT", and select Edit
6. On the General tab you have the "Upgrade Schedule" and can select the options we are mentioning.

I hope it makes sense :-)
