The following accounts should have "Full Control" to the "\InetPub\Reporting" folder:
Administrators - Full Control
Internet Guest Account - Full Control

Hello,

This could be due to possible issue with permissions on IIS.

Did you try running a Repair of SEPM?

Check the DCOM permissions.

Could you please upload us the scm-server-0.log, catalina.out and IIS logs, which would assist us understand the root cause of the issue.

Hope that helps!!

Hi,

Please refer to the following article:

"Unable to communicate with reporting component" and BAD GATEWAY error on SERVER/reporting

http://service1.symantec.com/support/ent-security....

Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager error: 403 "You are not authorized to view this page" on Home, Monitors, and Reports pages.

http://service1.symantec.com/support/ent-security....

In IIS, ensure that "Read" is checked in the Symantec website component (in this case, content), under Properties > Home Directory.

Alease upload us the scm-server-0.log, catalina.out and IIS logs As per mithun Comments.

This workaround is for Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager versions 11.0.5002.333 and older:

  1. Change "extension_dir" value in C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\PHP\php.ini: replace ".\ext" by the complete folder name "C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\PHP\ext".
  2. Open IIS and open properties of Symantec site > reporting.
  3. In virtual Directory tab, click on configuration.
  4. Edit ".php" extension and browse PHP5isapi.dll file located in C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\PHP.
  5. Click on OK three times
  6. In Web Service Extensions, add a new Web service extension, which is linked to C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\PHP\PHP5isapi.dll.
  7. Click on OK and then allow this new extension.
  8. Open My Computer properties.
  9. In Advanced tab, click on Environment variables.
  10. In System variables, edit PHPRC and set its value to C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\PHP.
  11. Use iisreset in Start menu > Run to reset IIS.
  12. Launch http://SERVER:PORT/reporting will then show you login page correctly.  You should also be able to login to the SEPM and use reporting through the manager.
