If I wanted to upgrade to a different version of symantec, while using an upgrade rebate, would SEP count?

Do you already have SEP 11.x? You should already be entitled to 12.1 than.

Well I have SEP v12, but I am thinking of switching to 360 because the SEP I have is for home use and I may get a multidevice version.

SEP is for enterprise use so if this is for home use than yes 360 would be the way to go. You should be able to use the rebate for 360.

SEP is an enterprise class product and 360 is mainly focused for home users. 

So the enterprise class features will not available on 360.

I understand some features will be gone, and that is fine with me. It seems to have stricter than needed security settings for a home environment and notifies on things that I think is just my home group.

What version of SEP are you currently running?

Is the License of the current Symantec Endpoint Protection expired or about to expire?

In case you are using the Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.x and you want to upgrade the License to Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1.
