Upgrade SMS from 7.7 to 8 - what to upgrade first?

I have read an artical where it is given that it is not compulsory that you need to upgrade control or scanner first. You can upgrade any of them.

I have a similar setup and wanted to know:

Once I've upgraded all the scanners to the latest update and start to update the control center, will mail still flow normally through the scanners during the upgrade for control center?

I just wanted to insure mail flow would not be interrupted during that time.

Hi,

Having more than 1 scanner and upgrading one after another is what will allow you to keep email flowing. Then upgrading the control center appliance will not affect that.
