Upgrade to Veritas Netbackup 7.5 from 6.5

Dear All,

I have a veritas netbackup server 6.5 installed on Windows 2003 server and now I got the new version 7.5, I would like to perform an upgrade of the netbackup and the windows as well.

Is there a specific procedure I have to talk, a guide in details, maybe a personal experience to share.

You have 2 choices:

Use catalog backup and restore to migrate to new OS (and hardware?) using existing NBU version, then upgrade to 7.5.
Upgrade existing master to 7.5, then use catalog backup and restore to migrate to new OS.

If new OS is W2008 R2, you need to use 2nd option as R2 is only supported as from 7.x.
