Take a look:
http://messengersays.spaces.live.com/Blog/cns!5B410F7FD930829E!82557.entry

We have updated a couple of our test client with Messenger Build: 14.0.8089.726 but now we cannot login anymore.  We are running the latest version of IM Manager.
Does anyone know how we can fix this problem?
Getting error message: 8100030f

If we install 8.5 version of Windows Live Messenger it works.

This is critical since Microsoft will deactivate login for older versions of Live Messenger.

Thanks in advance!

Symantec IM Manager does

Symantec IM Manager does provide partial support for WLM 2009 (that's version 14.x), but you have to upgrade to IMM 8.4.11 - earlier versions do not work. If past performance is any indicator, they will have full support eventually.

There is a doc in their KB that explains what they mean by 'partial support' here: http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/ent-gate.nsf/...

Unfortunately, I am unfamiliar with that error and can find nothing to help you. Perhaps a call to their tech support would clear this up? I only suggest that because it sounds to me like an issue that may require real support instead of the "users helping each other" we get here.

Waiting for a solution

I was really hoping there was a patch or fix for this already.  We have upgraded a lot of users so far and some still can't connect to our IMLogic server.  We've got some users who rely on this for work and are no unable to communicate with long distance users.

Have you called technical

Have you called technical support? Keep in mind that these forums are for us customers to talk amongst ourselves. It is not an official support avenue. Symantec technical support may not be aware you have an issue. Give them a call and see if they can find a solution for you.
