Just run the current upgrade on the system.

The console has upgraded to the latest version but the list of client install packages are atill the old version. I have tried manually adding from the install files but this fails stating that same version already is there, even thou it is not.

I have also run the update.bat again and does not help.

    any Ideas?

That is the correct client version. MP1a is SEPM change only to fix heartbleed bug.

I belive that upgrade is only for manager

This version updates the Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager to 12.1.4104.4130 to address this issue. There are no updates to the client installation packages included with this release. This Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager update is a complete release and accepts migrations from any previous release of the Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 product line.

Is Symantec Endpoint Protection affected by the Heartbleed OpenSSL vulnerability (CVE-2014-0160)

    Hi,

Thank you for posting in Symantec community.

SEP 12.1 RU4 MP1a (12.1.4104.4130) is applicable for SEPM only NOT for clients. There are no updates to the client installation packages included with this release & that's the reason can't add the packages manually into the SEPM.

You are on the right path. No further action required.
