  • 1.  Upgrading from 11.x to 12.1

    I have been haveing problems with installing the 12.x client on Windows 2008 R2 Server Stand alone.  The SEPM installes just fine.  Whenever I try to update the client on servers runing 2008 first I get a half installation, then when I try to uninstall I get multiple errors. If it does install, after the first reboot, multiple Symantec services will not start. Any Ideas? (the Servers are Dell Power edge 410 and 610)

    What version did you upgrade from? What features are you trying to install on these servers?

    Can you post the SEP_INST.log?

    From start - run - %temp%\SEP_INST.log, search for Return Value 3 and post the 10 lines above the return value 3.
