  • 1.  Upgrading to DS 7.1 on 2008 R2

    Hi Friends,

     

    We are planning to upgrade to DS 7.1 and will start the Windows 7 deployment with it.

     

    I thought of posting this article as you might have done this before and would like to know about your thoughts and the precautions which I've to be beware of before going for this transition :-)

     

    We've tried few Windows 7 deployments with DS 6.9 SP and faced the known issue of remote login and chat.

    if you are upgrading from DS 6.9 to DS 7.1, then you can only import images and SOI packages.

    All other jobs/tasks/packages you need to manually create again.

    But in case you are upgrading from DS 7.0 to DS 7.1, then yes, you can migrate all your data.
