When you upgrade LUA , do you have to remove the previous version first ?

This seems a bit shoddy , seeing as you end up losing all your LUA Config settings ?

or am I missing something ?

    Thanks

Hi; I upgraded my LU server to the last version available without uninstalling the old version and there was not any problem. All my configuration settings were maintained.

Yes if you are using the LiveUpdate function you do not have to uninstall first. The upgrade occurs automatically.

With version 2.1.x or earlier, if you are upgrading using the installation and not LiveUpdate, then yes you must re-install.

With version 2.2.1 or later, you can upgrade your previous installation. Your settings will be preserved, however you may be required to redownload and redistribute previously downloaded/distributed content.
Note that with 2.2.1 you can get a lot more specific with what you wish to download/distribute so I would recommend re-evaluating what you had configured in the first place if you deploy 2.2.1
