Upgrading LUA 2.1.3 to 2.2.1 takes a long time and ends with missing LUA database...

    After installing Java jre-6u11 and running LUAESD.exe on the server and a few hours the installation completed.  But the log says now that the LUA database is missing.

     

    "C:\Program Files\Symantec\LiveUpdate Administrator\tomcat\logs\stdout_20090108.log"

    ....

    SEVERE: Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory (FATAL: database "lua" does not exist)

    ....

    etc.

     

    Is Upgrade not working?  Is New install the only remedy?

    Hi,

     

    If the upgrade has taken a few hours, it means you do have a large database to migrate. However, the upgrade has to finish off fine regardless of the time taken. The log file under <lua_install_path>\logs will have more information of the problem. Look for luapatch.log in that directory.
