  • 1.  Upgrading PXE services in 6.8 SP2 to 6.9

    We are currently migrating from Seployment Solution 6.8 SP2 to version 6.9 and would like to migrate the exisitng PXE servers to the new DS without having to re-install the PXE service - can this be done?

    I think the pxe servers will be uppgraded automatically when you uppgrade the deployment server..

    JoPe is correct about the auto upgrade. The upgrade will start as soon as the pxe server connects to the new pxe manager. This functionallity was introduced in version 6.8. Here's a kb article that descibes this process: http://www.symantec.com/docs/HOWTO6598

    Correct, PXE will autoupdate. One thing to remember is not to select install a remote PXE server on the install wizard.
