    hi,

    Upgrading the clients from SEP 11 to SEP 12.1, duplicate client entries created in the SEPM console

    Server 2003 and clients XP and windows 7 mix

    Hello,

    Check this Article:

    Upgrading a Symantec Endpoint Protection 11 client to 12.1 or repairing a SEP 12.1 client results in duplicate client entries created in the SEPM console if the client is on a Guest OS of Hyper-V.
     
     
    This is a Known Issue and resolved in Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU1 MP1
     
    As of now, you can try deleting the clients from the Groups and the clients may re-register themselves.

    It will be quite a while.

    My first question would be are you seeing this on a Hyper-V guest or another machine?

    I have hyper v set up.

    what do you think in your regards could be done in this case?

    Hello,

    As of now either , you can try deleting the clients from the Groups and the clients may re-register themselves.

    OR

    As provided in the Document work on the Workaround by Manually removing old duplicate client entries in the SEPM.

    I am sure that would help you.

    Again, I am sure once the Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 RU1 MP1 is released, the issue would be taken care off.

    Is not it because the client has multiple IP addresses, but not because of Hyper-V ?
