Ghost Solution Suite

Hello,

Does anyone know how to upgrade the windows PE version within Symantech Ghost Suite 2.5.  Our current version is Windows PE 2.0 and we would like to upgrade it to 3.1.  The version of our Symantec Ghost Boot Wizard is 11.5.0.2141.  Any information is much appreciated.

The latest version is 11.5.1.2266 which you can download using LiveUpdate, but the version of WinPE remains at V2.  There are no plans to offer any updates until such a time as the long awaiting GSS 3.0 is released (assuming it ever happens).

Many users have created their own WinPE 3.1 boot solutions, and there is nothing to stop you doing that yourself, but there are no instructions or procedures for integrating V3.x into Ghost Solution Suite.

EdT is right, some users have had success doing that update, but i dont know if you can continue using the Ghost Boot builder

As far as GSS 3.0 goes, i will believe it when i see it

There are substantial changes in the way WinPE works when going from V2 to later versions (V3 and V4) so I'm pretty certain that Ghost Boot Wizard would not work, but that does not stop you doing driver addition  manually.

Though it is not supported by Symantec , you can of course try updating to WinPE 3 using the using the template from WAIK for Windows 7.
