  • 1.  Upload of Image successful, but download fails

    Posted May 12, 2010 09:26 AM
I am using the latest Ghost 2.5 Ver 2269 and all the updates are in place. My question is: When I upload an image to my ghost server it works but a down load of the same image to the same machine fails. I have tried downloading the same image from another server and this works. Has anyone experienced this before.

    Thanks

What is the error message you are geeting in the task log ?
It will be difficult to find out the reason without error log.

I can take an image of a machine fine (with sysprep)... but when I then deploy it ..it fucks up in the blue config sceen. Can't remember the error message was something with [serialized] .... and now it stops in blue config screen and tells me that windows fail in installing ..and have to be reinstalled.

    Event Log isn't very helpfull

In the task step: To Target Operative System it get this error: Client timed out

    PS. Also 2269

I updated the client on my target machine ...and it now works .. not sure if that's the fix or I fixed something else also ... I went back to start and re-built my Image-create task ... so I made also have charged something there that might had an infunence on the process.

Image creation and deployment can be made by many ways.
If you are using Console, then Version of console in server machine and the client machine must be the same.
If you are using version 2269 in your server then update your client machine with version 2269.
If anyone is different then error will occur.
As requested by Yogeshadu if you can update with error log it will verymuch helpful for us to corner the cause for the error.

    thanks
